Mauritius keep the oil in the ground!

The Mauritian government has introduced a Petroleum Bill this month, a bill which shall facilitate petroleum exploration within the Mauritian exclusive economic zone, which is as yet untouched by human activities. At a time where the world needs more and more nations to lead by example by moving away from the production and use of fossil fuels, Mauritius is going in the opposite direction by pursuing killer fossil fuels which are not only causing global warming but also causing pollution which is the cause of at least 9 million deaths worldwide annually. As a Climate Reality Leader, I urge the Mauritian government to reconsider their plans and take responsibility and real action to reduce emissions now! It’s time to get real.
